From Darkness to Direction
For students, educators, and communities. I tell the truth about the dark, and I show the way out. Students leave knowing they are not the only one, and knowing who to reach for.

I help people stop living by the verdicts other people wrote for them, and start building a life on a truer one.

My father's apartment had a mattress on the floor, a lawn chair, and some blankets. That was it.
I grew up learning who I was from men who were struggling to know who they were. I believed them. By the time I was an adult, I believed them so well that I did not want to keep living.
I know the darkness of suicidal thoughts. I know what it is to search for one reason to stay.
What brought me back was not willpower. It was connection. Honest conversations. A vision of a life worth building. And a God who saw me very differently than I saw myself.
Today I am a school psychologist, a published researcher on young survivors of suicide loss, a certified life coach, and a builder of businesses and communities. I have spoken at national conferences, universities, schools, and firesides.
The credentials matter less than this. I have lived what I teach.
Clarity about where they are going. Tools to build real connection. Confidence to lead themselves first, then others. And one next step they can take tomorrow morning.

Culture does not come from a slide deck. It comes from leaders who can see where they are going and say it plainly. Teams leave with a shared vision and the communication habits to keep it alive.
I once filled a whiteboard with sixty goals. Vision was never my problem. The next step was. This workshop moves people from stuck to the next real move in business and in life.
My research listened to some of the youngest people grief ever touches: children who lost a parent to suicide. What they taught me belongs to every educator, counselor, and parent. Reach early. Stay connected. Talk about it.
I fought pornography. I came close to losing the trust of the woman I love most. I talk about it openly so other men can step out of hiding, and other couples can see that trust can be rebuilt.

Somewhere in your audience is a person carrying something nobody has noticed.
