We have both been buried. Simone under trauma and addiction. Cortland under suicidal thoughts and a story other people wrote for him. We speak so your people can hear what we needed to hear: you are not broken. You are buried.
There was a season when Cortland was afraid Simone would leave.
There was a season when Simone did not believe she was worth staying for.
Both of those people were real. Neither of them is who we are now.
Our stories could not be more different. Simone walked from childhood trauma and addiction into complete freedom in God. Cortland walked out of the darkness of suicidal thoughts and built a career helping young people, leaders, and families find their way forward.
The mission is the same. Help people stop believing the wrong voice about who they are.

I have never seen such a captivated group of students at an assembly. The activities had everyone engaged and the deep connected story had all the ears in the room.
They took the time to speak to the students on our campus with great insight and inspiration. They reminded us all that what we see on the outside can mask what issues we may be dealing with underneath the facade we may put on. I still remember how quiet the gym was and how tuned in the students were, and that they left with something valuable that day!
